4-Hour Traffic School Complete this basic driver improvement course (BDI) if you have received a ticket for a non-criminal moving violation (speeding, careless, stop sign, traffic light, u-turns, fail-to-yield the right of way, improper passing, etc...), and you do not hold a commercial driver license. You may elect to attend this 4-Hour course in lieu of getting the point on your driving record. Also, court-ordered traffic school, or DHSMV-ordered traffic collision avoidance course (TCAC). You may only complete this course every 12 months, and no more than 5 times in your lifetime.
• Your insurance rates cannot go up and your policy cannot be cancelled because of this violation, unless this involved a crash where you were at fault.
